Happy Wednesday! Welcome back for another episode of Out on the Road with Kiki, where we follow pest consultant Kristian as he visits homes and businesses across Adelaide to assess pest outbreaks.

The first client of the day is Fratelli Deli, a new sandwich bar in busy Prospect. They are needing some general pest management services. The owners are already an Allstate client through another business that they own. Kristian takes a look around and gives them a quote for a commercial pest management program, which they accept!

Then it’s off to Belair, where the client believes that they’re seeing doves nesting under their solar panels. Kristian climbs up to inspect and sees that it’s actually pigeons that have established some decent sized nests. He recommends doing a clean up of the affected area, removing all the nesting material and installing solar skirt proofing.

For the last job of the day, the client has a recurring possum issue. They’ve had another company over to try to proof the entry points previously. However, the client can once again hear the possums thumping around in the roof above the front bedrooms in the mornings and evenings. When Kristian takes a look up on the roof, he can see that the previous company did not properly proof off the area, so it will need to be fixed. Of course, they’ll also need to put in a cage catch the pesky possum so it can released back into the yard, where it belongs. And that’s it for another day with Kiki, until next time!

Thanks for joining us again for our latest episode of Out on the Road with Kiki. In this series, we follow pest consultant Kristian as he heads out to visit homes and businesses in Adelaide that are experiencing pest outbreaks.

Kristian starts his day off in sunny Seaford Meadows, where the owner suspects that they have a pigeon problem. While they do have solar panels, it appears that the pesky birds have found an even better place to roost and nest – under the pergola on the wooden support beams! As the owner mentioned that the birds are brown in colour, he suspects that it’s sparrows, and not pigeons. In either case, the birds definitely need to go, so he recommends some bird proofing to the pergola. Some flashing to seal off access to the wooden beams should do the trick.

The next client has requested a possum assessment, because they can hear some scratching and thudding coming from their roof. In fact, it gets so loud that they’re afraid that the ceiling may give way! Although there’s no hissing, Kristian notes that the property is surrounded by a lot of trees, which can provide great hiding spots for pests. After climbing up to the manhole, he can see there’s rodent droppings in the roof void, so he leaves the client with a quote for a rodent baiting service.

The last client of the day wants a quote for termite prevention at their newly purchased home. Kristian measures up outside and then gives the client a quote for a termite protection system.

Welcome back for our latest episode of On the Road with Kiki, where we join pest consultant Kristian as he visits our fabulous clients around Adelaide to assess pest outbreaks.

Starting off the day in beautiful Hove, a client has noticed in the past few months that there is a flock of pigeons nesting under the solar panels at their two-storey home. In fact, the client noticed that this problem only seemed to start after their neighbours got solar skirting to protect their solar panels from this same flock. So it appears that while the deterrent has worked well for the neighbours, unfortunately, this has driven the pigeons to relocate to our client’s solar panels instead. The good news is that this means the solution for our client is simple. Kristian suggests installing solar skirting and cleaning to move the pigeons right along.

The next client has taken some photos of a pesky bushy tailed possum to show Kristian. This clever creature seems to be getting into the roof space through a tricky little entry point between the pergola and the flat roof. Kristian climbs up to the roof for a look and confirms that there’s evidence of possum activity. He recommends a quote for proofing and installing a trap and one way door.

For the last job of the day, Kristian visits a previous client who had possums, but the exact same issue seems to be happening again. While they aren’t hearing hissing noises, they can hear running, thumping, scratching and scurrying sounds. This is more noticeable in the ceiling above the lounge room but can also be heard in the hallway and bedrooms and sometimes, even in the walls. Kristian climbs up for a look and sees old possum droppings along with fresher rodent droppings. So, he gives the client a quote for a rodent baiting service. And that’s another week on the road done and dusted!

We’re back with another episode of Out on the Road with Kiki. In this series, we accompany pest consultant Kristian as he assesses pest outbreaks in homes and businesses all over Adelaide.

The first job of the day is in Henley Beach, where some pesky pigeons have been perching on a client’s rooftop antenna. Lucky for the client, their solar panels aren’t affected, but there are a lot of messy bird droppings. In any case, Kristian has the solution to fix the problem. He recommends installing a bird spider device on the antenna to act as a deterrent and leaves the client with a quote.

Next up is a termite assessment in Camden Park. The client is doing some renovations on the floors, and pulling up the old vinyl covering has revealed a nasty surprise – there’s active termites in the wooden floorboards. Kristian notes that there’s a lot of damage to the flooring, particularly in one of the rooms, and quickly rules out a liquid treatment as an option, because it’s not practical. Instead, a termite baiting system is the best way to go due to the extent of damage, so he offers the client a quote.

The last client for the day is also concerned about termites. They’ve just sold their home, and they’re looking to get some termite protection before they move out. They’ve had some spot treatment completed by another company in the past. Kristian recommends installing Allstate’s Sentricon termite baiting stations, which the client accepts. They’re booked in to have the job done next week, but for now, it’s a wrap for this week!

Thanks for joining us yet again for another episode of On the Road with Kiki! In this series, we follow pest consultant Kristian as he visits homes and businesses with pest concerns all around Adelaide. It’s a lovely sunny day today and Kristian is ready to help his clients prevente pests for good!

The first job of the day is a termite assessment at a rental property. The tenant can see that there’s some water appearing on the floor near the bathroom entry. The owner’s son came over and pulled the carpet back to reveal a wooden joint and found some termites. Kristian takes a closer look and thankfully, doesn’t see termite activity, only some moisture and wood rot. He recommends a termite inspection and some preventative treatment just in case.

The next client is also concerned about termite prevention. They’ve just recently bought a new house, which was given the all clear during a building inspection. Kristian leaves them with a quote for a termite protection system, which the client will discuss with his partner.

For the last job of the day, heads to Mount Barker for a possum assessment. The client can hear noises in the roof. Kristian climbs up for a look inside the roof space, and sees mice and rats, so he suggests installing a rodent baiting system, which the client happily accepts on the spot. And that’s it for another week

Join us for another episode of On the Road with Kiki, as we follow pest consultant Kristian across Adelaide to address pest outbreaks.

Today, our fabulous clients think that they have pesky possums on the prowl, but Kristian has other ideas!

The first client lives at Aldinga Beach, and they have camera footage of possums scratching and scurrying around. When Kristian climbs up to the roof for a look, he discovers that there’s actually an excessive number of rodent droppings. He recommends a rodent baiting system, and the client also agrees to a spider spray. Before heading to see the next client, Kristian can’t resist sneaking off to the beach to take in the view.

The next job is also a possum assessment that ends up being a rodent problem. Again, Kristian sees rodent droppings in the roof void and suggests rodent baiting to fix the issue. The client wants to speak to his wife first before going ahead with the treatment.

For the last job of the day in Sheidow Park, the client says that they can often hear possums in the roof, but strangely, they’ve been pretty quiet over the past week. Again, Kristian says that it’s most likely rodents that exhibit this pattern of behaviour rather than possums. So, he recommends installing a rodent baiting system to prevente the problem. And that’s it for another week!
