Thank you for joining us for another instalment of On the Road with Kiki, where we follow pest consultant Kristian as he conducts pest control assessments in homes and businesses across Adelaide. In this episode, we also meet pest technicians Dominic and Scott.

Today, it’s a scorching 41 degrees as Kristian investigates termites at two homes.

The first home is an empty rental property, where he carefully checks the skirting boards inside for any termite damage. Thankfully, there isn’t any, but he does recommend installing a baiting system to prevent any potential future attacks.

Next, Kristian goes looking for termites around a property in Blackwood. With lots of wood scattered around the yard, including sleepers and woodpiles, he doesn’t hesitate to offer a quote for a baiting system.

After his hard work in the blistering heat, Kristian makes a pitstop in Marion. He treats himself to a much-needed caffeine hit at his favourite coffee shop, D.ose, before he introduces us to some of the Allstate family.

Pest technician Dominic is up first. He has worked with Allstate for 3 months and loves the company’s family friendly culture. His favourite company value is that if mistakes get made (we’re only human!), it’s safe to speak up, take responsibility and then fix the problem.

Like Dominic, pest technician Scott Mackay also appreciates the family business atmosphere at Allstate. Having been with us for 2 years, he enjoys the variety and flexibility of his job and won’t hesitate to go the extra mile to help others – a perfect example of our “we over me” company value.

Since 1986, Allstate has been helping homes and businesses across all suburbs of Adelaide with pest control and management. Welcome back for our latest episode of On the Road with Kiki. In this video, our cameras follow pest consultant Kristian as he assesses pest problems in homes and businesses around different parts of Adelaide.

Starting the day in Goolwa, Kristian finds pesky pigeons nesting under solar panels on the roof of a home. He gives the client a quote to clean the panels, remove nesting material and proof the area.

Next up, Kristian finds termite activity in the doorframe and the wooden floors inside a client’s home. He decides it’s best to install termite baits within the home at the affected areas, as well as a Sentricon baiting system outside to prevent more termites from coming inside.

Then it’s time to investigate scratching and scurrying noises inside the walls at the next client’s home. While Kristian finds that there are possums running across the roof and one possible entry point, thankfully, there’s no clear evidence that they’ve come inside yet. He suspects that the unusual noises are actually caused by rodents, so he recommends installing some rodent baits and proofing the entry point to the roof.

Finally, Kristian ends the day in Devon Park, where the homeowner has completed an  extension to their home which needs protection from termites. Kristian gives them a quote for new termite baiting stations to be installed after they’ve finished their landscaping.

It’s time for another episode of On the Road with Kiki. Today, we follow pest consultant Kristian as he goes about his work attending pest outbreak callouts at client homes and businesses.

First on Kristian’s agenda is a termite problem at a home with a wooden barrel converted into a planter in the backyard. On close inspection, Kristian notices it has evidence of previous termite activity, but nothing at the present. This means that the pesky termites are either active in the base of the barrel, or they’ve moved on elsewhere. He gives the client a quote for the technicians to come and treat the barrel and have a closer look at the base.

Kristian then visits a beautiful heritage listed property in Unley, where he finds clear signs of a heavy possum infestation in both buildings. Luckily, he manages to locate all the entry points, and leaves the client a quote for proofing and installation of one way doors.

Keen for some exercise, Kristian then hits the gym, but the workout must wait until after he’s had a look at a pest bird outbreak. He’s at Revive Fitness Centre in Plympton, where he finds that birds are entering the roof void through rainheads and box gutters. Kristian recommends proofing all the entry points to remove the birds.

An afternoon coffee stop at D.ose on Marion Road gives Kristian an energy boost before he arrives at his last client’s home for an assessment of an old termite baiting system.

Installed by a competitor, the termite system is unfortunately inadequate, with termites already eating away at the existing baiting stations. Kristian decides that additional baiting stations are much needed to ensure the house can be protected under warranty.

Welcome back to another episode of On the Road with Kiki, where we follow pest consultant Kristian on his travels around Adelaide to assess pest outbreaks in homes and businesses.

Kristian’s first job is a termite assessment at a home situated next to a golf course in an area with flying termites. With so many potential risk factors, recommends a comprehensive termite inspection to check for any early signs of an outbreak.

Up next is another client who is concerned about termites, but this time, inside the home as well as outside in the shed. Kristian gives a quote for the Sentricon Always Active baiting system as treatment.

Then it’s off to visit a client who thinks that they have a possum problem, but it turns out to be rats instead. A baiting program is the best way to prevente the outbreak.

The final client today has an irritating problem with mysterious biting insects leaving itchy bite marks on the skin. Kristian checks the home for bed bugs, but actually discovers that the real cause is bird mites. They’re crawling into the home from bird nests located up against to the building. He also finds a rodent issue, so gives the owners a quote to manage all the pests once and for all.

Welcome back to another instalment of On The Road with Kiki, as pest consultant Kristian gives us a glimpse of how he helps homes and businesses in Adelaide resolve their pest problems.

A possum and rodent assessment in Tranmere is how Kristian begins his day. With multiple entry points, the roof void is getting crowded. Kristian leaves the owners with a quote for possum proofing with a one way door and installing a nesting box in the yard as well as a rat baiting system.

There’s a friendly pup at Kristian’s next job, however, the possums are not so pleasant. The home owner reports hearing the possums hissing, thumping and fighting all around the yard, and even an unusual smell coming from the roof. Kristian decides to speak to the head technician to see if we’re able to repair the entry points or if it’s a job that is better suited to the client’s builder.

Then, it’s off to Goolwa, where pest pigeons are nesting under solar panels and starlings are entering the garage. Kristian recommends solar panel cleaning and proofing to protect the panels.

To finish off the day, Kristian visits a home for a termite assessment as the owner is concerned about termites getting into cracks on the concrete flooring. Luckily, there is no moisture so termites aren’t drawn there, but Kristian offers a quote for preventative treatment just in case.

Since 1986, Allstate has provided pest control services to all suburbs of Adelaide using modern technology and innovative yet safe treatments. We’re available 24/7 for advice and urgent callouts.
