Thermocline

Thermocline:A thermocline is a thin layer in a body of water where the temperature changes rapidly with depth. It is usually found in oceans and lakes. The thermocline separates the warm upper layer from the cold deep water. The depth of the thermocline varies from place to place and from season to season. In the summer, the thermocline is shallower than in winter.
