On the road with Kiki – Episode 6
Join us for this latest episode of On the Road with Kiki, where pest consultant Kristian shows us how he tackles pest issues for Allstate clients around Adelaide.
He starts off with a possum problem in Parkside, where he finds possum droppings and entry points that need proofing.
Then, it’s onto a termite assessment where Kristian identifies visible mud tubes, which are a tell tale sign of termite activity. He recommends a thorough inspection throughout the home and yard with a moisture meter, then installing bait stations in active areas and a bait system around the house.
Originally thought to be possums, it turns out a rodent outbreak is the real issue at hand at Kristian’s next job. After an assessment, Kristian confirms finding rodent droppings in the roof void. Since the home owner hasn’t noticed hissing or fighting noises, just scratching, Kristian is confident that rodents are the target pest here.
Now for a much needed coffee break. Kristian decides to stop by Brown Charlie Co in Adelaide CBD. An Allstate client, we get to hear why they enjoy being a part of Allstate’s convenient and simple monthly commercial pest control management program.
To round off the day, it’s a termite inspection at a home with a bait system originally installed by a competitor. Sadly, Kristian finds that many of the bait stations are damaged, so he recommends reactivating the termite baiting system and monitoring them every few months, depending on the amount of termite activity.
