On the road with Kiki – Episode 41
We’re back with another episode of Out on the Road with Kiki. In this series, we accompany pest consultant Kristian as he assesses pest outbreaks in homes and businesses all over Adelaide.
The first job of the day is in Henley Beach, where some pesky pigeons have been perching on a client’s rooftop antenna. Lucky for the client, their solar panels aren’t affected, but there are a lot of messy bird droppings. In any case, Kristian has the solution to fix the problem. He recommends installing a bird spider device on the antenna to act as a deterrent and leaves the client with a quote.
Next up is a termite assessment in Camden Park. The client is doing some renovations on the floors, and pulling up the old vinyl covering has revealed a nasty surprise – there’s active termites in the wooden floorboards. Kristian notes that there’s a lot of damage to the flooring, particularly in one of the rooms, and quickly rules out a liquid treatment as an option, because it’s not practical. Instead, a termite baiting system is the best way to go due to the extent of damage, so he offers the client a quote.
The last client for the day is also concerned about termites. They’ve just sold their home, and they’re looking to get some termite protection before they move out. They’ve had some spot treatment completed by another company in the past. Kristian recommends installing Allstate’s Sentricon termite baiting stations, which the client accepts. They’re booked in to have the job done next week, but for now, it’s a wrap for this week!
